TRAINING

1. “SAKSHAM” – a INITIATIVE towards VOCATIONAL TRAINING FOR PHYSICALLY AND INTELLECTUALLY DISABLED  STUDENTS

On the year 2021, just after Corona Pandemic, we start with a self-run project called “SAKSHAM” to make them able to earn. In this project children suffering from intellectual deficiency and physically disorders provided with a specific form of education depending on the deficiency type and degree.

2. SEWING MACHINE OPEARTOR TRAINING UNDER ASDM (ASSAM SKILL DEVELOPMENT MISSION

Under Radha Bala Foundation, conducted a training programme on SMO (Sewing Machine Operator) sponsored by Assam Skill Development Mission under Placement Linked Skill Training Programme at Guwahati Centre.

This Year 25 Women was trained under this scheme and placed in different industries and organizations. After the training the women became more skilled and they were started their own venture and get employed in various sectors.

3. SPECIAL OLYMPICS  BHARAT (An Ability Rather than a Disability)

A workshop conducted by Radha Bala Foundation on Special Olympics at Mother’s Genius School by the Coaches of Special Olympics Bharat, Assam.

Children for the age group of 6 years and above with their parents participated in this workshop.

1. E- LEARNING UNDER MSME TOOL ROOM AND TRAINING CENTRE

Entrepreneurship promotion and development programmes are being organized regularly to nurture the talent of youth by enlightening them on various aspects of industrial/business activity. These programmes are conducted for youth and other people interested to set up their own industrial/self-employment venture.

i) E-Learning on Sewing Machine Operator Training Program :-

E-Learning on sewing Machine Operator at Dispur, Guwahati, Kamrup (M) in associated with our esteemed organization for the help of potential Entrepreneur has been completed successfully.

27 candidates were participated in this programme. The main objective of this programme is to motivate the young unemployed youth for their self-employment.

2. SKILL DEVELOPMENT TRAINING UNDER ASDM

The vision of the mission is capacity building of the unemployed youth and to deliver quality skill training leading to meaningful employment. This year we are conducting a Training Programme on Two Shaft Handloom, Makeup Artist and Sewing Machine Operator under ASDM.

i) Training Programme on Two Shaft Handloom:-

A two shaft handloom weaver is the one who weaves various types of fabrics and artistic textiles by hand using a handloom. A weaver can weave basic weaves- Plain and its variations, using different kinds of yarns cotton/wool/silk on a fly-shuttle or throw-shuttle handloom. The job requires the weaver to weave the basic weaves on the loom as per pattern or design provided.

We are conducting a 340 hours training programme on Two Shaft Handloom sponsored by Assam Skill Development under Placement Link Skill Training Programme at Birpara Centre. 50 women and girls was trained under this scheme.

ii) Training Programme on Makeup Artist:-

A 280 hours training programme on MAKEUP ARTIST by Assam Skill Development under Placement Link Skill Training Programme at Bijoynagar Centre. 100 Women and girls was trained under this programme.

Individuals at this job are responsible for the design and execution of makeup for artists. This job requires the individual to understand makeup requirements and identify the design and look for each artist.

iii) Training Programme on SMO (Sewing Machine Operator):-

Conducting a 310 hours training programme on SMO (Sewing Machine Operator) under Assam Skill Development Mission at Guwahati Centre.

Sewing Machine Operators involves stitching of components of garments together using a Sewing Machine. The role of a Sewing Machine Operator is very critical to the industry as it enhances the quality of the product.

A Sewing Machine Operator, also called a ‘Stitcher or Machinist’ is an important job-role associated with Apparel Sector. The primary responsibility of a machinist is to stitch/sew fabric, fur, or synthetic materials to produce apparels.

50 Women and girls was trained under this scheme and placed in different industries and organizations.

1. ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROGRAMME UNDER MSME TOOL ROOM AND TRAINING CENTRE

The objective of the programme is to motivate youth representing different sections of the society including SC/ST/Women, differently-abled, Ex-servicemen and BPL persons to consider self-employment or entrepreneurship as one of the career options. The ultimate objective is to promote new enterprises, capacity building of existing MSMEs and inculcating entrepreneurial culture in the country. Overall 40% women and youth participation in this programme. The programme includes the following:-

i) IMC (INDUSTRIAL MOTIVAION CAMPAIGN):-

This programme is conducting at Uporhali Centre. 25 candidates were participated in this programme. Industrial Motivation campaigns are organized to identify and motivate traditional/non-traditional entrepreneurs having potential for setting up MSEs so as and to lead them towards self-employment.

The main objective of this programme is to motivate the young unemployed youth for their self-employment. During the programme various projects which have potential in particular district are also discussed with the interested participants. The faculty of MSME use to explain the topics like quality of entrepreneur, risk taking capacity, Ideas converting into business and strategies for launching new product in the market.

ii) SIYB (START AND IMPROVE YOUR BUSINESS):-

The SIYB Programme is a system of inter-related training packages and supporting materials for small-scale entrepreneurs to start and grow their business. It aims at increasing the viability of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through management principles suitable for the environment of developing countries.

This programme is conducting at Uporhali and Guwahati Centre. The course duration was 30 days, 60 candidates were participated in this programme.

START AND IMPROVE YOUR BUSINESS

The SIYB programme is structured into four separate training packages, Generate your Business Idea, Start your business, Improve your business and expand your business which are designed to respond to the progressive stages of business development.

The main output from the training programme is a business growth plan, which includes chapters on marketing, operations, human resources, financial and strategic management.

The SIYB training is catered towards individuals who wish to tap into their entrepreneurial potential and explore new business opportunities. The training helps them acquire enterprise management skills to start and manage small business successfully. It offers them an alternative career path and helps them become economically independent while also providing employment opportunities to their family and community.

iii) EAP (ENTREPRENEURSHIP AWARENESS PROGRAMME):-

This programme is conducting at Guwahati Centre. The course duration was 12 days, 30 candidates were participated in the programme. The programme aims to provide students the basic knowledge about entrepreneurship and make them aware of role of government Industrial & Financial Institutions in promoting entrepreneurship. The course contents of such Entrepreneurship Awareness activities are designed to provide useful information on product/project, selection and project profile preparation, marketing avenues/ techniques, product/service pricing, export opportunities, infrastructure facilities available, financial and financial institutions, cash flow, accounting, product casting etc.

The students are the important human resources to understand that entrepreneurship is also an attractive career option. They will be able to provide employment opportunities to others by taking up entrepreneurship as career. There is a strong need to change the mind-set of the students. Hence it is important to encourage youth to take up entrepreneurship as a career.

2. SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME UNDER ASDM

Under ASDM we are conducting a Training Programme on Sewing Machine Operator, Hair Dresser and Makeup Artist.

i) Training Programme on Hair Dresser and Makeup Artist at Uporhali, Bijoynagar:-

A 280 hours training programme on MAKEUP ARTIST and HAIR DRESSER sponsored by Assam Skill Development under Placement Link Skill Training Programme at Bijoynagar Centre. 120 Women and girls was trained under this programme.

Hair Dresser

This course provides trainees with the skills and knowledge

  • To carry out the services in salon and spa such as a beauty therapist, spa therapist, manicurist / pedicurist, nail artist.
  • Ensure the efficient delivery of quality service to the customers.
  • To conduct client consultation, handle salon operations, perform inventory control, handle payment and display merchandise so as to satisfy the customer.
  • Entrepreneurship.

Makeup Artist

Makeup Artist physically prepares individuals for appearances in front of cameras or an audience. These individuals include models, high- profile individuals who may be making speeches, film stars and members of the public who wish to learn more about makeup.

The flawless faces that we see on television on a daily basis are the finished products of work undertaken by talented makeup artists. These talented artists are equipped with skills that can transform the physical appearance of an individual and provide them with the confidence to appear in front of a camera or a live audience.

ii) Training Programme on SMO (Sewing Machine Operator) at Dispur, Guwahati:-

Radha Bala Foundation conducting a 310 hours training programme on SMO (Sewing Machine Operator) at Guwahati Centre.

A Sewing Machine Operator is a significant activity job related to the Apparel area. The essential duty of a mechanic is to stitch/sew or synthetic materials to deliver attire. This unit provides information, skills and performance criteria, needed to sew parts using by hand or machines.

75 Women and girls was trained under this scheme and placed in many industries and organizations. After the training the women and girls became more skilled and they were able to get employed in various sectors.

3. TRAINING OF TRAINERS (TOT) PROGRAM UNDER APPAREL SSC

Training of Trainers (ToT) is a program for the development of training delivery skills of those who wish to become trainers in the sector of their preference and aligns them with the National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF) anchored at NSDA under the leadership of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India.

Radha Bala Foundation, Dispur centre has conducted a TOT program for the job role of Sewing Machine Operator.

This program was organized in two phases. The participants (Trainers) were groomed by Masters Trainers. These participants were professionally trained for these above sectors.

1) TRAINING PROGRAMME UNDER ASDM (ASSAM SKILL DEVELOPMENT MISSION)

Assam Skill Development Mission was set up under the aegis of Skill Employment and Entrepreneurship Department. The vision of the mission is capacity building of the unemployed youth and to deliver quality skill training leading to meaningful employment. ASDM also aims at creating a sustainable skill ecosystem for convergence of quality skills training and also encourage budding entrepreneurs in different sectors.

ASDM has initiated a State Sponsored Skill Development Training Program primarily aiming at training the youth of the state and offering them placements. The program is run on a Public Private Partnership (PPP) Model. Training Partners are empanelled by ASDM after evaluation of their credentials and proposal. Sanction order is issued to the training partners with target of candidates to be trained against the respective trades.

Under ASDM we have conducted a Training Programme on Sewing Machine Operator.

i) Training Programme on SMO (Sewing Machine Operator):-

Under Radha Bala Foundation, a 310 hours training programme on SMO (Sewing Machine Operator) sponsored by Assam Skill Development Mission under Placement Linked Skill Training Programme at Guwahati Centre has conducted.

75 Women was trained under this scheme and placed in different industries and organizations. All of them took benefit of this programme. After the training the women became more skilled and they were able to get employed in various sectors.

3) BENIFICARY TRAINING PROGRAMME ON KING CHILLY (BHUT JALOKIYA) CULTIVATION AND PROSSESING

The first phase of this training programme was conducted in the seven villages during the year 2018-19. Expert trainers were inducted from the Agriculture Department, Govt. of Assam in Sbatches 20 farmers in each village were given training in Bhut Jalokiya cultivation.

We have initiated training on Sept’18 at Kahuwa forest village under Chhaygaon Revenue Circle for scientific cultivation of Bhut Jalokiya to 18 nos. of Self Help Group members.

Radha Bala Foundation worked on the following segments:

1- Month MSME Course each on ‘Garment Construction’ , ‘Hardware and Networking’ , ‘Accounting with Tally’

Assam is a land with lack of Entrepreneurs. Though nature and technology has bestowed us all but here people does not take the initiative to come forward and utilise the nature and technology along with their skill. This is due to lack of guidance, lack of support and lack of adequate knowledge.

Thus, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) has taken the toll of guiding the budding entrepreneurs of the nation and with this motive they conduct regular skill enhancement courses through out the nation.

MSME under RCVT conducted a 1 month training programme each on Garment Construction, Hardware and Networking and Accounting with Tally. Experienced team of faculties both from RCVT and outside RCVT taught the MSME students the way to sustain life by adopting Entrepreneurship through these given courses. The selected students took due advantage of these courses. Regular supervision by MSME officials made the execution of this programme , a success without any flaw.

Skill Enhancement Programme and Technical Aid to SC women from ‘Director of Scheduled Castes’ – Govt. Of India

The people from interior of Assam possess great skill and enthusiasm but due to their locations, their skill remains unnoticed. RB Foundation has identified these hidden skills and encouraged many to identify and enhance their skills through training and Entrepreneural programmes.

During 2012, RB Foundation conducted a Training programme for SC women folk of Raha, Boko and Chhaygaon. During this training programme, few women were identified to have great skill but due to poor financial condition, their skill remained within the four walls of their houses. This year on 9th November, under a scheme from Director of Scheduled Castes, RB Foundation provided professional training and free sewing machine to these selected skilled women group.

Director of Scheduled Castes, Govt. of Assam – Hounarable Mrs. Sadhana Hojai handed over the sewing machine to every woman in the RB Foundation campus.

Vocational Training Programme on Spoken English and Communication Skill, MS-Office & Internet, Banking & Accounting, Tally ERP, Hand Embroidery

VTP courses on Spoken English and Communication Skill, MS-Office & Internet, Banking &Accounting, Tally ERP 9 and Hand Embroidery are being executed in Roman Computer and Vocationl Training center under RB Foundation at Guwahati. All the courses are free of cost and hence youths from entire Assam visits our center to take advantage of these courses.

At the end of each course, an experienced and learned Assessor comes to test the progress of the candidates in the particular course after which the qualified candidates are awarded with a course completion certificate.
